    NBA 2K19 Art Feedback

Even though it was an early build, post and discuss issues with player models, lighting, etc. from the screenshots and the new trailer with real-life comparison images. Only constructive criticism.

      Re: NBA 2K19 Art Feedback

1.Mcgee still look small. this guy need to have short upper body and longer legs and broad shoulders.

2.Kyrie still have the big head.

      3.Lowry's, Covington hair not updated.

4.Shorts length and width need to be smaller and less wide.

5.Dennis Smith dunking, looking down and not in the ring?? no way that is correct.

6.Alley oop animation with Gordon should be in street only. that was bad.

      7. Dwight Howard is toooo dark.

8.Kawhi need more muscles and shoulder than that. he has the same body like Derozan in that video. Leonard is more bulk.

      9. Players in warmers with hood on??? most of this player in bench wearing that hood.

10.Blocking..they really need to make an animation that you block the ball with a palm or finger close to the ball and not this usual animation they making like it was swat by an arm or an invisible thing.

11.Is there going to be an altercation now (Booker+Lillard) i hope and pray!!

This are the things i notice so far in the trailer that need some attention before the release.

To the people saying the shorts need to be slimmer/shorter, I have been campaigning for that for 3 years now (on and off the OS forums) and it hasn't been touched.

I saw the trend as it was happening and tried to let people at 2K know early and now it looks like they'll be playing catch up.

At this point, I'm just kind of over it and feel like they need to give me a consulting gig when it comes to the art/clothing in the game.

FYI, to accomplish this, they have to make all the shorts in the game from scratch - so whenever they can make time to do that we'll probably see it. Who knows though.

then i guess 1st patch has to be ART update focus only.

Small detail but still frustrating. Both the NBA logo and Nike logo are missing from all the shooting sleeves which all NBA players that wear them have it.
The images shown are from the latest NBA 2K19 trailer

At this point lighting wise it would be nice if 2k could put a brightness/contrast slider in the game settings similar to what Madden has if they don't plan on making the arena lighting any better then it is currently.

At this point i just want 2k to give us all the tools to update things that they missed. especially now that they have all this new options in CAP with Hair and facial(especially hair- long to short) they should transfer it to every NBA player when we editing them. so i agree with the guy on top having sliders for lighting also like a contrast slider on your tv.

Ive been asking them to open the 2kshare from PC to console as they dont update any players the LA players im pretty sure a farewell gift to LDK.

One thing I noticed is that pretty much all of the jersey advertisement patches are way too small.

Also, I wish 2K would just let us customize the length of all accessories already...

Hey, I want to thank the OP for setting up this thread. It's nice being able to frequent this thread and see what the artistic-minded people are looking for in a video game.

No problem. With all the great people giving great feedback and ideas for gameplay, I figured there should be a specific thread for art feedback. It'll be easier to compile all of our issues/ideas in one thread like MavsManiac made last year, in hopes that a 2K dev sees it and passes it to the art team (probably not, but we can hope right?).

The entire art department should be fired. Things are always crazy inaccurate and idk how in the world you scan these players irl but modders are out doing you. The courts are dull and washed and the arena lighting is horrible. 2k has this weird fetish with wanting the game to look cinema esque & it’s annoying.

The modders are are doing exactly that modding. Lets see them do it from scratch. Most of them only slap a higher res pic over an already created face.

I give some of them credit for fixing jerseys, courts or completely changing hair styles, but they have more leeway on PC.

If the art team could put super high resolution textures on everything and the game still be optimized for console and PC they would because It'd be less work for them.

I don't think some of you realize the constraints. I used say the same devs are lazy stuff but i have a better understanding now.

As to why certain players haven't been updated in years I'm with y'all on that. Hopefully they are continuing to update players.
