Will players "not interested" in resigning, end up resigning?

Tried haggling with Tevin Coleman too much in franchise mode and it now it says he's "not interested" in resigning with me. Anyone know if this will eventually change or should I trade him now instead of him walking?

My offers werent even that far off from what he wanted and it only took two offers for him to be no longer interested, must be very little wiggle room.

I know I could franchise tag him but not sure if it's worth the cost considering he only wanted 5 Mill per year but his tag would cost significantly more.

Not sure if this year will be any different from last year, but last year if they decided they weren't interested they hit the market unless you used the tag.

You’ll get a chance to resign him during the next season if you tag him.

I didn't offer a good enough contract to one of my players during the resign period during the season, he said he wasn't interested in signing. In the off-season I gave him the best contract offer by far, and he signed with someone else.

You didnt try tagging him and then resigning him the next season? Im thinking if I tag him I could just give him what he wants in season the following year to keep him. My only concern is if I tag him and for whatever reason he still wont resign with me the next year. If that's the case i'd rather just trade him and move on.

My advice, honestly, is only tag him if he is legitimately worth that much. If he's asking $5m, and a tag is $14m, don't waste it on him. Let him go.

You get one more shot at the end of the season, if I recall correctly.

I often find it much cheaper to resign players after they hit the market.
