They should allow us to drop in to neighborhood right away.

No you don't have to play any of the mycareer games before stepping into the nneighborhood, they even game me the option to skip the prelude and start my nba career right away.

You have to sign your first NBA contract. Whether or not you play everything beforehand is up to you. You can simulate all of it, and if you played The Prelude the week before, you can make a clone of that character and opt to skip the entire Prelude (including the G-League games). Doing so does, however, result in lower contract offers.

Re: Do we have to play the mycareer games before entering neighborhood?

I didn't see any option to take my player and go straight to the neighborhood. I skipped through all the cutscenes and dleague games.

Where do I get that option?

It's like right at the beginning. You get the option to skip the prelude and go straight to the NBA.

Does it apply to those that played the free prelude? Because I played the free prelude and when I loaded up the game for the first time last night I didnt see any option to skip the rest of the prelude or dleague, etc., unless I wasn't paying attention.

Maybe not because the option is to "skip" the prelude.

I skipped Prelude thinking its was going to take me to the point the the Demo Prelude ending, but once I started I realized it skipped the entire Story, that kind of sucks
