Lack of INTs & subs

At the end of the season the most INT someone had was 3. I play about half of the defense plays and just sim the other half during games.

Any tips on getting INTs while I control? I press triangle and all when it's on point but nothing. Even with high rated CB. I moved the interception slider up a bit but no help.

Also, I'm a little confused about the substitutions. I'm trying to get a couple of my WR's to switch every now and then but can't seem to figure out the slider for it.

Re: Lack of INTs & subs

On interceptions: if you are playing on All-Pro difficulty or lower, try using the Ball Hawk mechanic. Hold Y / Triangle as the pass approaches to intercept the ball rather than timing a single button press. Make sure that the Ball Hawk option is enabled in the settings menu before you attempt this. Also please note that this will not work on All-Madden difficulty (and IIRC All-Madden is the default difficulty for online ranked and MUT head-to-head games).

Only MUT Salary Cap is currently played on All Madden. All other H2H modes remain on all pro. In terms of user picks it is *very* important that you are squared up and facing the ball when you try to pick it unless the player you are using has high ratings in AGI. They don't get an animation otherwise.

Re: Lack of INTs & subs

Re: subs, I use 65-67 Fatigue and have WR subs set at 83/85. I get rotations.

My subs at this fatigue setting include:

HB: 95/97
WR: 83/85
DL: 97/99
LB: 83/85

I'm happy with those, for the most part, though I think DL don't fatigue or rotate enough. Going any higher on Fatigue runs the risk of setting off a cascade of false starts, and going any higher on sub-in values runs the risk of disappearing players late in games.

So the higher the fatique on say RBs, the more they will sub in? Seems backwards.

The higher the “out value,” the more they sub.
