Graphics getting worse yearly?

I been trying the game out since it's free this weekend on XB.

Did the same last year.

I think the last one I bought was 16 or 17.

I noticed last 2 years how degraded the graphics have got. Is that a fair assessment?

This years looks so faded out. The colors are just bland and seems like there's some haze in the stadium.

Body types have definitely changed for the better as well as accessories for the most part but yes lighting has gotten worse on a yearly basis. The lighting in 2k is really some of the worst out. Not sure if it’s the lack of ability from their guys in charge of lighting or the fact they keep cramming in crap like the neighbourhood with dodgeball, scooters and anything really not associated with the sport of basketball that ends up taking up space that’s needed for half decent lighting. My money is on the latter but judging from sales the odd youth of today eat it up

We're almost near the end of this gen. Of course the graphics won't be as impressive.

Huh? End of a generation cycle is when you see the most impressive games graphically. It’s only 2k that goes in the opposite direction.

I think it was the one w curry on the cover with other athletes (16?) that had great graphics. Colors just popped and everything was smooth.
