New Classic Rosters Uploaded by the Ole Team Classics Guru

It is again my pleasure to announce that the Ole Pro - AlexTony - from MVP Total Classics fame has uploaded four Classic Rosters to the vault under the PSN of " alextonys9-alex ".

Since he has not registered for this forum I'm pleased to post below the contents of his recent email describing his Classic Rosters:

I have UL four Classic Teams roster versions (all 25 players, Legends used).

The first two, ClassicTeams Version (Ver) 1b and ClassicTeamsVer2b, are the same as UL on August 27, 2018 - but many players have been slightly tweaked - thus upgraded. (note: All possible as I have gradually learned more of the nuances of the game.)

The second two, ClassicTeamsVer3a and ClassicTeamsVer4a are new. Several teams are repeated from the first two. Ver3a emphasis is the 1980s and Ver4a is similar years to Ver1b with a few changes (1960’s, 90's and early 2000 teams).

If a Ver5 is done later, it will emphasize pre-1959 teams.

Again in no way am I taking any credit for the rosters/faces/player creations. Most were previously done. With that said I did tweak some and created a good number of players and created several new rosters as well to help enhance and give further depth to the idea of ‘Classic Team’ mods.

Not sure but in discussions with AlexTony I think he basically tweaks ratings based off his personal knowledge and gut feel. A lot of his teams are originally based off of JTommy67's RBU rating utility tool but then tweaked by him. Having done classic rosters for so many years his knowledge base & understanding of game engines would be very well qualified to tweak these ratings with a high degree of confidence & accuracy I would have to believe. He has been doing basically the same teams for the past many years which add to my confidence with his ratings.

Just a heads up. For some reason if playing post season, which I love to do, If you load the roster in Post Season after entering the Mode, it gives you the highest rated players for some positions (not all). If you Pre load the roster then enter Post Season with current rosters, then you get accurate rosters. For some reason this is only happening on a few of Tony's rosters. I'm guessing this is more of a game glitch than roster glitch. This just began after the last patch but only for Tony's rosters, which I find odd.

I wish they would return short seasons or custom playoffs. I love these Classical Rosters. Franchise is just too long to play for so many great historical rosters.

These rosters are truly a masterpiece if you love playing with classic teams. Don't get me started on the created faces. Wow!!
