EA turned Gronkowski into a simple TE

Played some games with Patriots and i was very frustated seeing Gronkowski play like a ordinary TE. He fall at the first impact almost every play. Any simple defense player can take down him.

Haven't really turned down any of his ball carrier moves so I mean it should be the same it's been all year.

Have you watched Gronk play this year? He's not what he used to be, I haven't looked closely at what his ratings are like in this years madden but maybe they lowered his BTK? Also sometimes Madden makes no sense on when broken tackles happen, I've been taken down by a CB with a power back pm the first hit only to have my small 3rd down back shed a DE and a LB after that to pick up a big gain.

Even when Gronkowski was the cover player in Madden 17 EA did not represent his performance shown in that previous year in the game.

It may be tough to emulate Gronk in a game. My personal opinion is that he greatly benefits from Belichick and McDaniels' route combos which allow Gronk to be isolated on a single defender and in space.

His height, JUMP, and SPC alone mean he's not just a simple TE. He's probably one the best red zone weapons in the game just because of how strong high points are. The low speed doesn't even matter from about the 25 in.

Madden just doesn’t reflect height and size at all accurately

Madden has needed some sort of player tendency/badge/ability system for years. Instead, we have limited, generic presets where everyone plays similarly. To me, it's the biggest reason why madden is so stale and gets boring fast.
