Re: Is this shot Heavily Contested?

In real life, would it be heavily contested? No

In 2k, I think the contact from Rubio makes it that way (Should be a foul lol)

I think the fact that Rudy Gobert is also down there while having his takeover (rim protector) activated, that may effect it as well.

oh man, "because Gobert has bis takeover" activated is such a bull**** mechanic... Either this shot is heavily contested because... it is... or it is Not. i dont like the direction this game is going.

To be fair, I don't think he's advocating the mechanic...I think he's just looking at the clip and telling us what's there. Technically Gobert IS in Takeover.

I'd say tho, that there was alot of angst here on this forum related to Takeover when we first heard about it. Many (myself included) thought it'd be overdone and its actually been more subtle and most of all doesn't guarantee anything--Single Outcomes destroy H2H. This three from Klay for instance, didn't drop even though he was open:

Re: Is this shot Heavily Contested?

Nope that should have been open. Rubio was totally behind you and Gobert jumped too late. But since they wanna go back to the bs 2k18 contest system where players just being near you counts as contest, this is what we gotta deal with smh.
