DH vs No DH Option

With the news the MLBPA proposed a universal DH it lead me to wonder if anyone plays their franchise as an NL team with the DH option on for both leagues?

I usually play as the Jays, but this year I plan on doing a Marlins franchise. I have thought about having the DH on, but I like not having it and how it affects the game and partially how your team is built. You almost have to think an inning ahead while playing which I like.

I hope the NL doesn't get the DH. I prefer it the way it is.

Re: DH vs No DH Option

I've played around with the DH turned off in both leagues....will never use it in the NL until I am forced to.

I'm traditional. DH is AL, no DH in NL.

If I were to ever deviate from this stance, I would have no DH at all.

I consider myself an old school baseball fan so I usually turn DH off for both leagues when I play franchise.

I have in the past played a season with NL teams using the DH vs other NL teams but it wasn't as enjoyable as using AL teams DHing. And I've played my share of AL seasons with DH. I guess it didn't seem right because I know thats not the way it is IRL. Funny thing is I've also played AL seasons with no DH and it eas extremely enjoyable. Go figure.

again, that dizzying intellect I mentioned.

One of the things I hope I'm going to appreciate about NBA2K is the ability to change the rules over time. It would be nice within the Show to potentially do this to some degree, like adding/removing the DH once a franchise starts, shifting the trade deadline, expand/reduce the playoff field, etc.

Re: DH vs No DH Option

I usually play my franchise with DH in both leagues. Mostly because it saves me from having to worry about two additional lineups. I don't mind hitting with the pitchers I think it should be part of the game but I am in favor of offense in my franchise since for whatever reason pitching seems easy even on the high difficulties.
