I want to try an experiment. An all-inclusive team-centric guide to an NBA 2K19 team where fans can make direct recommendations (using hard data or ancedotal evidence) on what needs be tweaked within the game.
The focus is on the more technical aspects (Ratings, Tendencies, Badges) rather than the aesthetics (Accessories, Shoes, Hair, etc).
As an example of what I think would be useful to anyone reading the thread:
2019 PostUp Offense
https://stats.nba.com/players/playty...EVIATION*E*phi
Frequency and difference from 2018
30% Joel Embiid (-10%)
29% Boban Marjanovic
19% Ben Simmons (+10%)
7% Jimmy Butler (-1%)
7% Tobias Harris (-3%)
7% Mike Scott
0% Amir Johnson (-7%)
Observations:
1. A quarter of Embiid's post possessions have now become other playtypes.
2. Ben Simmons doubled his post-touch rate and these two instances are likely interconnected.
3. The more touches Simmons gets on the block, the more time Embiid will spend on the perimeter.
4. Simmons post efficiency also went up, from 0.69 PPP last season to 0.81 PPP this year.
In this case some supporting evidence and/or fans chiming in "sounds about right" would serve to benefit the people who work on and play the game.
With such a drastic change to his post frequency & efficiency, all of Simmons post tendencies, ratings, and badges should get looked at.
