Currently at 310 Rookies in the game with about 9 rookie players in Free Agency who could be created over..

The file now has ALL Drafted prospects + 60 undrafted free agents.. all rated to fit well with EA ratings based on scouting reports and their physical performance testing numbers from pro days and combine.


Base Defense Scheme changes -

I want the roster to be playable for play now vs computer, franchise, and head to head vs a human.. so 2 out of three of those would be messed up if I convert 3-4 OLB to DE for a team going to 4-3 ... or DEs to OLB for a team going to 3-4 from 4-3 etc..

due to not being able to change computer base defenses in a play now game... I have taken a hybrid approach for teams that are making the switch.. This means some players might not be at their listed position by team website.. many teams in the NFL reducing how much they are even in base defense.. this is the best case scenario to please everyone/ all situations.... the Rush Depth chart positions are set and these get the right players into the most likely roles regardless of positions.. & it will avoid computer teams trying to trade players in franchise mode numbers at positions being off or a lack of scheme fit..

This way you can run either defense with said team quickly at the play call screen or changing the depth chart (remember to change your defense playbook before you start the game of course).. I have the ratings already set so the players can play out of their set position (like a DE at OLB or DT at DE or visa versa)

no matter the defense 3-4 or 4-3.. as a general rule I use LE/LOLB as the strong side or larger player and the RE as the more pass rush end or ROLB as the weakside more coverage players... again I did not change every team using this logic just the teams which are making a switch in their base defense.


Chiefs 3-4 in game but switching to a 4-3

I have Ogbah and Okafor starting at OLB and that as their positions, I have Chris Jones at LE, and Frank Clark at RE (out of Ogbah, Okafor, and Clark, clark ratings are the best to keep at 3-4 end though not ideal..but pass rush depth chart fixes puts Ogbah and Clark at DE with Okafor backing them and Jones at DT.. if you want to run a 4-3, choose the playbook then put Okafor and Ogbah at LE, Jones at DT, and your 2nd and 3rd MLB at ROLB and LOLB

Bucs 4-3 in game but switching to a 3-4

Kept Pierre-Paul and Nassib as starting DEs but made sure they have ratings to be put at OLB (MINOR coverage bumps) in a 3-4... 3-4 OLBs types Shaquil Barrett and Noah Spence as LOLBs, Devin White MLB and LaVonte David ROLB.. pass rush depth chart puts Barrett and Pierre Paul (removed since injury) as DEs with Spence and Nassib backing them up. with Mccoy and Vea at DT..


Cardinals 4-3 in game but switching to a 3-4

Suggs as RE, Nkemdiches and Philon at LE, Chandler Jones & Brooks Reed as LOLBs.. again rush depth chart fixes this with Suggs and Chandler Jones at DE Brooks Reed backing them, Nkemdiche & Corey Peters as DTs.. if you wish to run the 3-4 defense Suggs & Chandler at OLB with Brooks Reed backing them up.. Nkemdiche & Philon at DE, Corey Peters at Nose Tackle.

Panthers 4-3 to a multiple or mostly 3-4 per many reports and ran some 3-4 last year..

Bruce Irvin as LOLB along with 3-4 type LB drafted out of Alabama Christian Miller.. then I have 3-4 OLB type Brandon Burns as at RE who is listed as a LB/DE on Panthers depth website.. (actually all three of these players are).. if you wish to run a 3-4 all three can be put into a OLB 3-4 role within depth chart.. and put DTs Kawan Short and Vernon Butler Jr at DE with DT Poe as your Nose Tackle.. ROLB Shaq Thompson to 2nd MLB..

Versatile Player positions:

Safeties - a few players at Safety when they might actually be listed somewhere else by the teams website..

provides more flexibility to play in multiple spots as these players are versatile players I believe that's the most important thing to provide them their likeness.. You can't get a linebacker back to safety but you can get a safety down to linebacker.. new Sub LB position in depth chart which allows Safeties at LB really helps with this.

Bears - CB Stephen Denmark i have him at SS - He's huge (6'4 225) and compared to Richard Sherman.. But very raw and, some talk of playing dime or sub LB, as well you can still put him at CB while being listed as a SS.. some project him to safety eventually anyway..

Bucs - MLB Deone Bucannon I have him at SS - will play some safety per reports ..obviously they are pretty set at MLB as well with drafting Devin White very high, and Lavonte David already on team.

Cardinals - MLB Ezekiel Turner I have him at SS - he came into league as safety and was moved to linebacker some last year with last coaching staff.. His size is tweener and there's a new coaching staff.. he's mostly a special teams player anyway.

WR/TE/Former Running Back..
49ers- WR Jalen Hurd I have him at TE - (He was a RB at Tennessee, actually started over Alvin Kamara!!) John Lynch said he could eventually move to Tight End.. I have him there now.. reason being - he's raw in route running.. and there is also talk of him getting some hand-offs and playing some in the backfield...in Madden the TE position allows the best flexibility to get him in all those roles if you desire.. as a TE he can be put at WR, TE, FB (& once in FB depth chart he can get in as big RB with quick subs at play call screen)..

GOAL IS TO GET A TEAM OF GUYS for future projects to reduce the time investment for everyone and still get the same result..and also still be able to ENJOY the roster creating process more when it's not such a burden on one or two person/people..

I and I would expect most of the community will roll with h-town roster anyway because he is a veteran creator no one has time for you to decide when and how you want to release your roster Memorial Day man c’mon by the time you decide/get followers we will already have it..

I edited the first post per your request... you know if we all were working on the roster it would have been being passed back and forth throughout the whole process of creating it.. that's why I just don't get what this is all about with you two.. and now Houston is making a roster after all.. like that's been my main point the whole time.. why didn't he just contribute before (to whatever extent that worked for him) and you could have continued to help to whatever extent you wanted.. and now you're both mad at me for managing a project (you left and houston never joined) the way I want?!!

This has had over 300 views... If those people followed it would be out.. are you saying that's not fair for the over 100 hours I have spent on it?

this is the first time I've tried to create a Madden Specific place for content.. ...not specific to Madden rosters but I've seen similar things done before "1000 likes and I'll make another video etc"..

Do you feel that's wrong? I've spent over 100 hours on the roster file and going and liking a page is too much to ask?

Once the file is released people are even less likely to do it... and the way CJ and Houston have mentioned before about stolen rosters just trying to encourage people with the release

I'd disagree. I'd say releasing the roster would cause your following to increase as the roster would be out there. And I say this as someone already following your stuff

It’s actually 231 views but I agree with steelers guy how can you expect anyone to follow/share/like your roster if you won’t even release it so the guys can try it out to see if it’s good or not? Just something to think about lol
