Is it possible to just watch the races in that game?

Or do i have to drive by myself.

I have no wheel and don't intend to buy one.

I would just like to take over a team make the setup of the car and then let the cpu drive.

Possible?

That's a great question, I've been playing the f1 series since ps3 and I'm not sure sounds pretty cool though and its something that would be a nice option

Unfortunately I don’t believe that is possible. You can sim races but don’t think you are able to watch the replay or anything after.

Have you tried Motorsport manager could be a fit for you?

Yeah i have tried motorsport manager and actually like it.

But looking at the graphics of F1 ..... it would be a great feature to watch the races like on TV.

Would be easy to implement. I mean all NBA or NHL games have it: Put the controller symbol right in the middle - no team selected. If you do that cpu plays against cpu. I would think that it should be easy for codemasters to implement that. They have to calculate to behaviour of your cpu opponents anyway.

The biggest thing is they already kinda have that. When in the garage during practice or qualy, you can watch another driver from your in-car tablet. Why not just add to it and be able to a) be able to watch a solo session as a spectator, and b) if you retire from a session, keep the session going and default to watching the rest of the session with having the option to fast forward or skip to the end.
