Academic Prestige - Oh My!

I was looking at some realignment possibilities in my dynasty (which is about 40 years in) and noticed some interesting changes in Academic Prestige:

Vanderbilt - C+ ( I think they start at an A / A+)

Louisville- A- ( I think they start at C, maybe even D+)

Stanford - B

LSU - A+

Georgia- B

Re: Academic Prestige - Oh My!

I believe Academic Prestige is based on how quickly incoming freshman become starters. It's a weird setting to link "academics" and "becoming a starter," but I believe that is how it was set up.

Re: Academic Prestige - Oh My!

I always thought that was an incorrect description in the game and that it was just a random variable.

Re: Academic Prestige - Oh My!

Yeah, I am almost positive that I read somewhere that there is a small, very small, percentage chance every single year for your Academic prestige to go up or down each year and that it is literally just a randomized timer.

thats what it says in the game when you are looking at your school. I always thought it should be getting players to stay and graduate would make it go up. dont know why they didnt put it like that.

Re: Academic Prestige - Oh My!

My kinesiology professor told me that 5-7 years ago it all depended on GSR vs. FGR greatly. Florida International had then the worst GSR in the FBS.
