Depth Chart and Custom Playbook Question

I'm in year 3 of my franchise and my WR lineup has changed and I rearranged my depth chart to reflect this. But for some reason the game puts players lower on the list in plays where they shouldn't be (Examples: 3 WR set has the guy 5th on the chart as the 3rd WR and in 4 WR sets has the guy 3rd on the chart not even on the field).

I play with a custom playbook and while I can play games with it, I can't change to it under coach schemes so adjusting formation subs is impossible.

Am I missing something?

Have you checked your slwr position on depth chart. If i remeber correctly last year your wr depth chart determined who was on the field then your slwr chart determined which wr's played the slot. I think this year the slwr chart determines who is on the field.

This. I always forget about this position on the depth chart and it messes with my wr lineup on certain formations if I dont change it
