Is Top Spin Still the Best Tennis Game in 2019?

I've been playing Top Spin 4 lately on my 360. It's a great game. Unfortunately, the servers are down so there is no online play.



Anyways, in you opinion, is it still the best tennis game?


I heard Tennis World Tour sucked an still sucks.


AO Tennis look pretty decent from the videos I have seen. But something just looks odd. It doesn't look as fluid as Top Spin 4.

I don't believe it ever was. TS games always felt too cpu 'automated' to me, but I'm more of a gameplay guy vs presentation.

Which Tennis game do you like then? Virtual Tennis? Tennis Elbow?

I like ones that give me total control over my player with zero cpu interference overriding my input and 'sucking me towards balls' and such.



Not that I've played them all or anything, but a few I've enjoyed are Hot Shots: Get a Grip and Smash Court 2, for instance.

For me

David Crane's Amazing Tennis SNES

but currently I think AO international tennis is an amazing game. with all the patches and the fact that you can swing the racket with the right stick, they really have a solid game there. Saves progress during any kind of match, allows editing , has a fairly realistic gameplay even though I'm not a tennis aficionado.

Graphics could be slightly improved but on the Xbox one x they are not bad it's only the player models that suffer.

I have been a dedicated Top Spin player through all the editions.

Currently I am loving AO Tennis. Tennis World Tour is not bad also with the latest patches. AO really has a great feel to it and I enjoy the CPU vs CPU feature.

I play on Xbox1x.

The thing that pisses me off about AO Tennis when I watch the videos is the curving shots? It looks like a MLB pitcher throwing a curve ball, I've never seen a tennis ball have that much curve on a shot mid air.

Yeah they should remove that much left-right spin, top spin shots have overspin afterall, not as much lateral spin.
