I've bought every 2K since the Dreamcast days and this us the first year that I didn't buy it on release day (as far as I can remember).

It honestly looked like 2K19.5 to me, with not enough new features to justify the upgrade.

Now that the game has been out long enough for geniune opinions, what are your thoughts? Should I cop it? Or will I basically be fine with what I have?

Honestly think the 2k19.5 thing is an insult this year. The realism has progressed too much, feels like an entirely different game. Can't speak for the online modes, i'm mostly offline.

The gameplay is actually a major upgrade. The new motion system and reworking of contextual animations go a very very long way towards adding to realism. Speed is respected and so is strength and agility. You'll have to play it for yourself man but if you a Sim guy them you'll love it.

Awesome, I'm so glad to hear. It's difficult as the only thing I've had to go from is watching YouTubers, but as they don't play how I like I can't tell.

Yeah sure... besides them totally gutting MyGM mode and making the game more of a virtual casino then anything else. Besides that... it's da bomb, whatever that means.

It’s easily the best basketball game ever made. People just love to ride the hate train. There’s so much to love this year. Most invested I’ve been in a 2k since.....2k10
