So I've noticed something odd. Jayson Tatum has two different shot releases in 2K20.

Playing with the default rosters, he has:
*Lower/Base: Jump Shot 107
*Upper Release 1: Release 154

But if you look at him in the 2017 draft class, or even start a franchise in the off-season, he has:
*Lower/Base: Kevin Durant
*Upper Release 1: Rudy Gay

I believe the second one is what he had in 2K19. It's also much prettier and easier to shoot with in my opinion.

I wonder why this is the way it is?

i’ve noticed this too, last year in 19 he had KD’s base...this year a lot of players has base 107 for whatever reason

I hate his default release on the Celtics. Doesn't look like his actually shot and doesn't quite feel right. Hope this is fixed in a new update. Id change it myself but I don't want to have to go back and change it every time there is a roster update.

Lower/Base: Kyrie Irving
Upper Release 1: Release 155

Apologies for the bump, but I'm having a really tough time shooting with Tatum in my MyLeague. I'm in the future, he's an A+ for shooting but I just can't do it (real player %).

Anybody else having this problem? I'm not sure if it's due to the release change or what. I did not have this problem last year.
