Microsoft just issued me a digital refund

Just got a full digital refund for the WWE 2K20 deluxe eition from microsoft. First time Ive ever requested a refund for a digital purchase. $90 returned.

That bad? Haven’t gotten it since 2k18 , was tempted this year.

The career mode made this a no go for me. Not worth $60 or anything close to $60.

When you get a digital refund, what happened to the download? Is it locked out?

It simply said "To play this game you need to buy it from the microsoft store". Basically the same as when trying to play a game after its free-play time period expires.

Can you provide a link for a refund? I looked and didn't see WWE 2K20 as being eligible because I pre-ordered it a few weeks ago and games apparently won't be selectable for refunds once two weeks have passed from the purchase.

Edit--Never mind, I figured it out and also requested a refund. They lost a lifetime customer with this year's blunder. I hope they can improve next year. I'll definitely not be doing any pre-orders with them and will wait for reviews before giving them any money in the future. Even if I do, I'll probably wait for Black Friday deals moving forward since it's only about a month later. They should be ashamed of themselves for releasing this pile of garbage and I hope they lose a lot of money from this mess so it teaches them a lesson.

Well, good to hear that, and really happy about that. I love to be at Microsoft for different games and different Microsoft products. Anyone there really needs to fulfill their Microsoft Return Policy in order to get a full refund.
