Re: Playbook for good offense simming?
All right, just got a chance to pull things back up. I used the generic Air Raid playbook, run/pass was set at 43/57; aggressive/conservative was at 65/35, sub frequency at 60, no-huddle style aggressive.
Arizona (2019 rosters) average 36.4 pts/game, good for 5th in NCAA.
Passing:
Khalil Tate (86 ovr) 229/408 (56%), 3182 yds, 32 TD, 11 int, 30 sacks
Rhett Rodriguez (80 ovr) 5/12 (41%), 74 yds, 0 TD, 0 int, 0 sacks
Rushing:
HB J.J. Taylor (#1 rb, 93 ovr) 292-1785 (6.1 avg), 17 TD
QB Khalil Tate 169-784 (4.6 avg), 10 TD
HB Gary Brightwell (#2 rb, 80 ovr) 137-605 (4.4 avg), 4 TD
HB Nathan Tilford (#3 rb, 76 ovr) 15-95 (6.3 avg), 2 TD
I didn't change any formation subs or change HB in/out values; could've gotten better balance if I had, I'm sure.
Receiving:
WR Cedric Peterson (#1 wr, 86 ovr) 67-875 (13.0 avg), 6 TD
TE Bryce Wolma (#1 te, 78 ovr) 49-628 (12.8 avg), 8 TD
HB J.J. Taylor 33-547 (16.5 avg), 3 TD
WR B**bie Curry (#2 wr, 77 ovr); that might get censored; starred it out just in case) 31-438 (14.1 avg), 7 TD
WR Drew Dixon (#4 wr, 77 ovr) 16-296 (18.5 avg), 1 TD
WR Jamarye Joiner (#5 wr, 80 ovr) 15-213 (14.2 avg), 3 TD
WR Brian Casteel (#3 WR, 78 ovr) 10-84 (8.4 avg), 2 TD
HB Gary Brightwell 10-133 (13.3 avg), 2 TD
So the sim offense went really heavy on WR1 & TE, with RB the #3 in receptions and yards.
I didn't track injuries over the course of the year, so don't know if anyone's numbers were up or down because of that.
The team went 13-1, finished tied for 1st in Pac-12 South with Utah, but lost the head to head. Made it into the top 4 when Utah was knocked off for the second time by Washington in the Pac-12 CG. I used Xanathol's editor to do the four-team playoff, beat #1 Nebraska in semis (20-14) then #3 Texas (35-31) in championship.
Scores (again, everything was completely simmed from the main menu; never started a game). Record and final rank is given:
FCS 48-14
at UNLV (4-8) 37-21
South Alabama (7-6) 44-28
at Washington (5-7) 42-7
at USC (8-5) 40-10
Utah (12-2, #6) 28-35
at Colorado (2-10) 31-26
at Cal (4-8) 20-14
UCLA (7-6) 1-28
Washington State (7-6) 41-38 (OT)
Oregon (9-4, #18) 38-13
at Arizona State (5-7) 45-7

Texas (12-2, #5) 35-31
