This has been an issue for generations. The runners always start slow in the mud and then after a second or two the speed attributes kick in and the animations are awful and in-game costly.
Watch back any steal attempt, fielder jump or runner out of the box and you’ll see the mechanics searching for the speed attribute and then it’s applied and It’s awful. There must be a way for the attribute to load to the player prior to the running animation. Let’s get this cleaned up. It’s long over due.
