Goalies the one thing sliders don’t help
Why are the goalies always so bad in this series. This year they touted “new goalie intelligence and awareness” but they are just as dumb as ever. I’m fact this may be the worst year for goalies yet.
They seem to have no idea where they are in the net and the short side goal is a money goal. The goalies seem to lose the post and leave way too much space when you skate behind the net instead of hugging the post.
The most annoying thing, which has been eternal, the goalies drop to their knees or butterfly before the shot is even taken....imagine NHL goalies doing that? It’s as if the goalies in this game react to the shot wind up rather than react to the puck itself.
Bottom line....no new goalie intelligence...certainly no goalie awareness. Sliders can reduce the amount of goals given up but not the amount of lame goals. When you are in the middle of a great game a puck goes in in a ridiculous way or behind a lame animation, it kills the game
