2019-20 World Juniors

Last year we saw Canada and Sweden out in the quarters and the US lose in the gold medal game for just the 2nd time ever.

From 2011-15 we saw 5 different winners. Since 2016 we've seen Finland win their 2nd in 3 years(and later their 3rd in 6), Canada win their first in 6 years(and later getting their 2nd in a 4 year span), and the US winning their 3rd in an 8 year span.

First time since 07-08 we have the tournament in the Czech Republic. A tournament that featured MVP Steve Mason. And also some guys named Doughty,Subban,Giroux,Marchand,Tavares,Stamkos on that team.

One of toughest divisions we've had. Canada,USA,Russia and host country Czech will be in the same division. Poor Germany. Over/Under 26 goals allowed for them?

Alex Newhook got cut from Team Canada because he decided to go to the NCAA instead of playing in the CHL, and you can't change my mind.

Happened before too.

Guys going to the CHL from Europe in the past didn't make their national team for that very reason, despite what others claim.

Lafreniere is really good, that's the main thing I got from USA/Canada

Czech beat Russia. Who would've guessed that? Makes the Canada-US game so much more important.

Russia basically has to beat Canada AND US to get a top 2 seed.

Started the tourney in enemy territory as they lost to the Czech.

Now they play Canada and USA in back to back days.
