If you want to see gameplay, a ton of people doing career mode on youtube.

I just got this game a couple of hours ago, and so far it has one big thing I wish the Golf Club series had. Leveling up your character. I can see myself playing this tennis game for a long time. I played top spin 2 off and on since it was released back in 2006 (so like 13 years). The Golf Club 2019 I stop playing after the first season because you can't make your character better. It's boring because of this reason for me. Great game just nothing to keep me wanting to play after the first season.

Anyways so far this tennis game is really fun for me. I haven't played one since top spin 2. Hell I never even knew there was an AO 1 or world tennis or a couple of others. I thought tennis games were just dead after top spin 4. Glad companies are still making them and this one is a real keeper for me.

The potential is there but as of know I hate this game so much lol

I have a strict rule to not believe much I see on the internet but with this game everything you see on the internet about superhuman AI is completely true. I just played an entire tournament match and the CPU didn't hit it out once or hit the net. End of game unforced errors were 27 for me 0 for the CPU. The most iv'e seen for the CPU is 3.

Also, at least a handful of times a game the user player just stands their like a statue while the ball whizez by him.

I can't imagine how the devs didn't see this. They apparently know now and are working on it and if they fix these two things then this will be very good. As of now I am not experiencing anything but frustration.

You will get better with the unforced errors. I just played 2 games that I won and had 2 unforced errors in both. I have gotten way better. Use to average like 16 unforced errors. CPU doesn't have that many unforced errors if at all. Most games they have 0 others I have seen as much as 5.

The standing still thing I have no clue either. My guy does that from time to time. It's annoying. I do not know if its because my reflexes are slow, my speed or just the game is broken here, but that does happen. Doesn't ruin the game though I think (will see how this affects going up against some of the bigger names).

I'm loving this game big time. My first 3 tourney's I lost in the first round. Then my 4th tourney I got to quarterfinals and lost. Now I'm in the middle of 5th one and I'm in the semi-finals right now. Granted these are all the future tourneys but they are way fun to me. The joy on my face when I was in my 4th tourney about to go out in the first round again being down 3 games to 0 (I have 4 games and 1 set for each match) and winning the next 5 games in a row. Or in that same tourney having an epic quarterfinals and losing on a tie breaker 13-11.

IDK man. Maybe because I'm coming off of top spin 2 and this is way new to me, but I'm having a blast.

Re: AO Tennis 2 Available Now on Steam, Releasing on February 11 For Xbox One, PlaySt

Ok so I decided to restart my Career and change the difficulty to Pro. You can do it anytime during your Career, but I like starting over if I'm changing difficulties plus the first Career was a test one anyways to learn the game.

I knew I had to go up to pro from amateur because I just felt like I could win any match now. When I first started I couldn't win a game, now I don't think I can lose on amateur. I haven't ran into the high rank guys so amateur still might be tough, but since it's a long Career I figured I will go to Pro and get better there.

Well first match on pro in the Futures tourney I played the number 1 seed and Pro is harder than amateur that is for sure. I ended up winning, however, it was 5-4 with a 5-2 tiebreaker(I probably should have lost 4-2 but I had an awesome come back from 40-0 in the 6th game). It was big time fun for me, but there are some things that need to get fixed.

One thing for sure is that they awarded the CPU point even though I should have swung. The CPU returned a rally up high and it came down and I had enough time to run there and swing, but they gave them the point and my guy just stood there. It was like a pre-determination thing because I didn't even have a chance to swing. It wasn't the glitch where your guy doesn't swing sometimes, this was the Ref stopping the game and giving them the point. That has happened once on this new career and once on my old one.

Speaking of your guy not swinging, he does this a little too often. Either he doesn't swing at all, or he swings way late and the ball goes up high or something. I felt it a lot more on Pro because every swing counts compared to amateur. So it seemed more pronounced on Pro.

Those are the main 2 things. The AI had 5 unforced errors. They had 2 double faults which I never saw on amateur. I had 11 unforced errors because on Pro you can hit the net more often now(never hit the net on amateur unless it was a serve). So you have to make sure you are timing your swing. I only hit the net twice, but it cost me game point each time. Plus you can hit it out more, but it could have been because I was trying to get the AI to move all over the court. They hang in there way better than amateur.
