Start franchise in off-season ?

Can you start a franchise in the 2020 off-season in offline mode ? I think you can using the cloud but you need ps plus for that and I don't have it. Or could you use a trial to start the online franchise and then just continue offline ?

Not on consoles unfortunately. On PC we've made the equivalent of a start today file (doesn't have the right game stats from this season cause that would be insane to modify) that starts at the superbowl, has updated coaches, correct retirements, etc. On consoles the only real option is to use the cloud start today. And no, unlike NBA you can't take a cloud start today and continue it offline. I'd be so happy if they let us do that, but.. EA, you know?

Exactly, so you can start at Super Bowl if you want the offseason. I did this with my most recent franchise to change it up some. If you're a GM controlling a team that didn't make the playoffs, I'd recommend starting in Wk 17 and choosing the realistic winners for wk 17/playoffs. This way you don't miss being able to hire/fire staff.

Some on here have said that picks aren't accurate if you start from a live franchise and there may be some other things that aren't 100% accurate.
