Franchise Roster Issue - prospects being traded

So I know this has already been discussed, but I'm still seeing roster issues in franchise even after balancing the roster.

I took last week's SDS roster and balanced it before taking it into franchise. Now, that's definitely toned down the prospects trades, but it hasn't eliminated them. As you progress through your franchise and the roster becomes unbalanced, the CPU tries to rebalance it again. At this point, I don't think it's just a roster issue. There's also a bug somewhere in the trade logic.

For example, on last week's roster update, the Royals only have two of the required three LFs in their organization. I edited a couple of their Single-A players to LF, giving them four, with Alex Gordon at MLB and Anderson Miller at AAA.

I took that roster into franchise mode. At the end of spring training, the Royals decided to keep Miller on the MLB roster, leaving them without a LF at AAA. A couple of weeks into the season, they traded Bobby Witt Jr. for a minor league LF.

I've only simmed through the end of April, so maybe it clears up after that. Is anybody playing a franchise and not seeing the issue on some level? As good as the game is, I really don't want to keep playing if the CPU is going to continue to make dumb trades. But I don't want to turn trades completely off either.

It doesn't clear up. I actually just posted this in the franchise and impressions thread. The logic is horrible.

Also, May through after June draft does not give pop up notifications of trades, which barely happen. I have trade slider at 9. Had 2 trades in May.

June rebalance the roster and I could understand low level guys for low level guys but they are giving up top 50 prospects for mediocre c or d level prospect.

Then in July the trade logic looks to build or rebuild and sees players in renewable or arbitration as last year. So rebuilding teams are trading their best, young controlable players.

When rosters are balanced there are almost no trades, which is bad as well.

I had to edit prospects positions as season wore on to prevent some asine shuffling.

I've reported it a few times.

I'm playing a new (fantasy draft) franchise with Bacon's rosters. I see quite a bit of trades but they're mostly lower level prospects, so I don't really mind.

I just ran another test. While there were a fair number of prospect trades, I didn't see anything too egregious on that one.

Also weird, I know tabarnes19 sees Wander Franco get traded a lot in his tests. I don't think I've seen Franco traded once in mine. Bobby Witt Jr. is usually the guy traded in most of my runs.

With a balanced roster, the trade slider seems to work. I may just leave it at 0 until July for my real franchise. I'd rather have no trades than illogical trades.
