MLB The Show 20 Quick Manage Disabled Issue

Can anyone help me figure out why my quick manage option is disabled?
A friend and I play a 2 player franchise mode where we each control the team the other plays so if the game is a blowout we used to use quick manage to sim the rest while being able to control who pitches and making sure there is no miracle come backs. In this years version MLB THE SHOW 20 The quick manage is locked once you start the game and I cant figure out how to get it unlocked?

Same issue here, worked fine on MLB 19 but on MLB 20 it is locked, I do not find a way to exchange a completely exhausted pitcher.

Did you manage to get it to work somehow?
