MLB 2k13 2020 Roster and Updates (Xbox 360)

Exciting News! Omega412930 (Goatrosters) and 2kquarant1n3 are teaming up to keep MLB 2k13 alive for the 2020 season!

Here is the grand plan:

1) Batting Stances and Pitching Motions: I am working to find the most accurate players batting stances and pitching motions. This is done using the video feature on Baseball Savant. I compare the in-game stances and motions frame-by-frame with the actual ones. There is a PDF linked (2k20 Stances and Motions) on my progress.

2) Rosters: We are going to finalize the all minor league and major league rosters the best we can (25 player limit on all rosters, otherwise the game glitches). Included in this will also be the correct jersey numbers.

3) Contracts: We will update the contracts for the 2020 season the best we can ($26.25 million maximum). Included will also be updated ages using REDitor to change the birth years to reflect the real-time age.

4) Minor Leaguers: We are going to work to minimize the number of fake players (indicated by players with 1-star ratings) on minors rosters. This is pretty difficult however since there is a ton of come-and-go, especially in the lower minors.

5) 2019 All-Star Teams: We will try to make convert the 2013 in-game All-Star teams to the 2019 ones in REDitor.

6) Legends Teams: Linked is a PDF (MLB 2k20 Legend Teams) with tentative Legends Teams using the best retired players since 2013.

As far as I've seen, there is nowhere in REDitor where you can specify hot and cold zones; I believe that is just hard-coded into the game.

I see. Well I do appreciate the time and effort going into this. Especially the batting stances. Sounds like a lot of work. Any chance of more rating adjustments? Wander Franco, the top prospect in all of baseball is only rated like a 65 or 66.

I'm looking at MLB Show 20's ratings for the top positions and they only gave Franco a 67 in their top prospect area. After hearing about how he's the next can't miss talent, I thought he was would be rated higher.

I believe Omega did all the ratings, however I still disagree with you. I see your point, but keep in mind the ratings are all on the same scale, so being that Wander Franco has only reached High A, a high-60s rating is already pretty generous. He could fly through the rest of the minors sure, but at this point in time he is not major league ready in my eyes, as reflected in that rating.

Thats the one thing I hate about rating players. We all have our guys we like better than others and look at different scouting reports and such so its soo hard to get everyone on the same page. So I do the best I can. I am the first to say I hate rating players and there are some that are prolly off just cause I dont know much on the player. I'm big on watching film on a player before reading about potentials. I usually rate based on what I see. So in Franco's potential hes rated too low prolly. But for right now on what I see and what level ball he is in I think he's roughly where he needs to be. Unfortunately in the world of 2k sports they call players up in franchise based on ratings and yes he may be stuck in the minors for a while but when his real progression through the MiLB happens we will adjust accordingly. Thank you for the suggestions. As far as re rating the league its hard with the layoff cause this will effect alot of players the longer this goes on so when the season finally begins we will see where everyone is performance wise.

I'm currently working on a roster for the PC version of 2K12 and it looks like as I'm looking through the Staff tab in REDitor, the ratings for every manager/coach in the game remain unchanged from MLB 2K11.

While I've re-rated all managerial personnel, I'm curious how this affects the gameplay in Franchise mode. I'm just throwing a theory that the Staff ratings impact how players develop and progress ratings-wise on your team.

From what I've been able to gather:

• Managers have a Teaching and Motivation skill
• Pitching/Hitting coaches only have a Teaching skill
• Trainers have a Recovery and Durability skill
• Scouts have a Scouting skill

Just curious if this was looked at as well.

Hey guys. New to the forum but i have been creating a roster of my own on 2k13 using stats from theshow20( no playstation. dur to Corona i have alot of spare time.Shout for the quarantine name too btw. i have downloaded the reditor and everything needed to update and or change the rosters. i may have missed it but how do i get the mlb rosters onto the Reditor?? if this has already been explained sorry for asking but if u could point me in the right direction that would be amazing. also love all of the stuff you guys have been doing. finding this was my motivation to start playing again.

Definitely low on the priority list, but yes, I have seen that in REDitor. Not sure how much of an impact it has quite yet

No worries!
1) Download Horizon (I think Modio is another one people use, but I use Horizon)
2) Save the roster from your game onto a flash drive
2a) If using someone else roster file you need to change the Profile ID, Device ID, and Console ID to match the numbers from your Xbox
3) When you plug the flash drive into your computer, the Horizon device explorer will pop up
4) Games > MLB 2k13 > [Roster Name] > Extract Selected File > Save to Documents or wherever
5) Open REDitor > File > Open > Open Roster
6) Make your edits
7) Save (Make sure you save to the same named file you originally extracted)
8) Horizon Device Explorer > Click once on [roster name] > Inject New File > Inject with newly saved roster file
9) Double Click roster > Should open up in Horizon window > Make sure all IDs are correct > Save, Rehash, and Resign
10) Safely remove > plug back into Xbox > Load Roster

I can send a screen cast video if this doesn't do it

I know what Im doing in between picks in the draft tonight now.
I see the title id when I opened it in horizon, where do I find the other ids? Is it on the Xbox?

You would need to download a roster onto your flash drive from your xbox directly first, then upload it to horizon, double-click, and your devices IDs should be there, then you would just save them on a notepad or something like that
