It's a shame Madden isn't built for this type of thing. This coach seems to put a lot of work into building his team and playbook around what should work in Madden. I do the same thing. I try and build a gameplan using my entire playbook and running formations outside the meta. I really pay no attention to the meta and I can still have fun playing Madden.

Realistically, nobody could ever be that good at Madden without running the same BS the top players use with 5 different adjustments at the line of scrimmage that would never happen in real football.

Spread/Pass Balanced Playbook has a ton of unique stuff that can cook meta defenses. Very well rounded running game, too. Just about every formation has read option, inside zone, outside zone, power, and trap. Some of your read options are actually triple option RPOs that are very hard to defend.

The traps and triple option RPOs are particularly deadly against the Cover 2 blitzes and the formations most commonly used for them.
