UFC 4 Strategy Guides Within (From Dmart, Bayliun)

Excellent post by Dmart gaming. I think takedown defense is one of the most important MMA elements that gets overlooked.

Also a guide showcasing transitions from postured position and some of the new momentum transitions.

sub to dmart, hes popping these out

He also just posted a submission guide. Glad all the guides starting to trickle out. Really need a clinch guide bad.

Re: Guide to takedown defense by Dmart

So the judo throw that used to be L2+R2+<-/-> is now L2+R2+R1? And you might randomly get another animation? Or is that based on the frames?

And the input for the judo throw is now the sprawl?

Like the video but he's too fast to explain the inputs in the takedown defense.

And I must've missed the ability to counter a sub into a sub which is pretty damn awesome.

Enough has been said about the CAF items. It looks like the hairstyles have been inspired by '80s WWE programming (from the stable of "misfit gimmicks"). The unicorn hair is beyond ridiculous. I haven't even seen someone pull this off... It's also going to cause clipping 100%. Good job EA. But again: expectations were (very) low so it's better than nothing I guess, unless these hairstyles begin to infect career mode. And why do they have the "rare" tag slapped on. There's no lootboxes or drops are there? *exhales heavily*

Just what I needed to see. I was getting taken down so much in the beta. Now if someone can just do the clinch.

First video I've seen of this dude he sounds exactly like Robin Black haha.

So the counter takedown defense is L2 + R2 + R1. I’m pretty sure the judo throw animation is fighter dependent. Some counters are a different animation and some guys don’t have a counter although I could be wrong about that.

In the Clinch, I believe a Judo throw from
Single collar is R1 + Holding X.

You can also Counter a takedown with a Sub with L2 + R2 + L1, which is also fighter dependent.

What I really like is the scramble element. If you deny late you can still battle with the Left Analog stick to try to stay on your feet. This adds a great layer of strategy and realism to wrestling.

Pretty sure that’s also just R2 + L2
