please god put idris elba and kenny omega in the game

Seriously people say the game is already goofy with Fury, AJ and Kumite, and I would like my UFC game to be as accurate as my more mainstream sports games, but you know what? It's barely goofy. As a fan of goofin, the goof factor could stand to be turned up substantially. You put some wrestlers and Stringer Bell in the game? That's some strong goofin'

What's wrong with having fun playing a video game?

A video game can be very fun without being goofy. Sometimes, an accurate description of reality is more fun than something over the top, it depends on the game. You don’t do the same things in Gran Turismo than in Rocket League because it would break immersion and people don’t want this things in this kind of racing simulations. They both are fun, but they don’t have the same purpose nor target players. People that play them don’t want the same things.

Some people enjoy greatly role playing and walking two real hours in Arma to get in a firefight and would be bored to the death if they played CoD or’Battlefield. People that play Escape from Tarkov don’t want the same things that people playing Fortnite, they prefer a more gritty, difficult, realist setting and real weapons and mods, not golden or tribal painting AK47s. Arma and EFT are very fun even though they are more realistic and not goofy.

But if you tried To insert the same goofiness that you have in fortnite, CoD... in these games, they would cease to be fun because it would completely break their purpose : realism. Nothing would put them apart of the countless goofy shooters visually, but the intricate mechanics designed for realism would drive people that enjoy the goofiness away real fast. And the goofiness will drive the original, sim players away. So now you’ve pissed of both demographic because you didn’t want to make a choice and commit to one.

And it’s the same for MMA games. MMA is a sport before all, and people that play them want an accurate depiction of the sport and the fighters (in theory). If you need Fortnite-style collectibles or goofiness in order to enjoy a MMA game, maybe it’s just that it isn’t for you and that a traditional fighting game like Tekken or Soul’Calibur, who are clearly and voluntary over the top and have this sort of customization, would be more up your alley.

What’s concerning is EA is refusing to choose and trying to appeal both demographics. It will bite them in the *** because they won’t be able to please both.

All you guys think about is money.. this game isn't fun and doesn't represent mma at all. Real fight fans or sport fans don't care about all this stuff

1. "FUN" is subjective.

2. Something "goofy" or "silly" in a 'realistic' game can also be fun. This game can still be "realistic" but also have a level of goofiness. One doesn't have to diminish the other.
