I created a player career as a RE and I can never get any sacks when I play.

I will get so close, but then Danielle Hunter comes in and steals what would be a guaranteed sack for me.

Hunter is leading the NFL in sacks and every single one of those sacks would have been mine if he wasn't right there half a second ahead of me.

How do I beat my cpu teammate to the QB?

This is really frustrating for me.

He's got an ability so he gets free quicker. If you're close you should be getting half sacks at least.

yeah, I'm trying to earn my way up to superstar and/or x factor. Just really difficult when I'm being beat by my own teammate

If you still get 1 per game that's a really good season though.

hell, getting a sack every other game is a pretty good season. in real life anyway.

He is a better pass rusher than you so he gets there quicker. If you want to change that there are many ways to go about it other than getting better but they can be considered cheating but if you are playing for fun and want to make the game fun tools exist. I assume he is the LE lining up across from the RT. You can increase the pass blocking of the RT. You can edit your team mate down. You can turn off abilities since you don't have one or give the RE abilities, even make him a superstar. Realistically, the better pass rusher should get the sacks.

Question: Is the camera angle on your RE player career a close in defensive camera angle like Madden 17 18, or up high like Madden 20?

I've noticed that when I attempt and use the new pass rush stick, the QB gets the ball out faster than allowing the AI to get a sack.

This could be a tuning thing for EA to adjust.
