PGA 2K21 Bugs/Glitches Thread

I don't have many gripes with this game, but I thought I'd share a few of the weird things I've seen.


When your ball should hit a patron (or multiple ones), the ball goes right through them like they're not there.


I have established PGA Tour pros such as Patrick Reed and Jason Day showing up on the Korn Ferry Tour leaderboard.


I've also had the game freeze after a couple of rounds, but luckily the game still recorded my scores.

The scorebugs in the PGA Tour players' cutscenes show the wrong shots. Like, for example, showing a pro putting for eagle (their first shot on the hole) on a Par 3.

I noticed today while playing in the official 2K21 Society tournament at TPC Louisiana that in the second round, the announcer kept giving my current round status for round 2 and my overall tournament scoring status as +6 on the round and +6 for the tournament, even though I was -1 to -2 for most of the round.

Oh, college boy, huh? "Patrons". Outside of Augusta, 'round here we call 'em "fans". Or, as they call them at Augusta behind closed doors, "scum".

Good idea for the thread, though. Presumably they will fix some of the more glaring 'inconsistencies', and hopefully soon.

For me, in Q School, several of the names on the leaderboard were some kind of placeholder - names like “C0001” or “C0002”.

I haven't seen anything too bad but I was watching Early 1981 have some strange problems with his golfer. Kinda funny. I have notice my golfer kind of slides into position when addressing a putt. Other than the slow servers at night and very inconsistent pitching this game is quite beyond belief. I hope 2k adds to the presentation in the upcoming installments. I hope adding tour pros even in this limited way does not mess too much with the budget because while it is nice I really don't see the point.

dude! weirdest thing. I started on q-school and saw the pros on there in round 1. came back for round 2 and the names changed from "Patrick Reed" to "rPatrick_Reed". Then came back and loaded round 3, and the pros' names were replaced with fake names. so i have NO idea what happened.

The scores also change between the rounds. I played 3 rounds on Sawgrass yesterday. After 3 rounds I was 5 strokes behind the leader (Mendoza) in 4th place. Today I wanted to play the 4th round and was suddenly 2nd after the first hole, one stroke behind the leader (Poulsen). But the leader after 3 rounds (Mendoza) was suddenly only in 26th place.

For some reason the scoreboard appears to be bugged. Especially when you play a few rounds in a tournament, leave the game and want to continue playing the next day.

I am having issues here, too. I was playing the Transatlantic Championship, which is the alternate event played at the same time as the Champions Invitational. I was right around the lead for both rounds (I only play 2 round regular events, 4 rounds in majors), battling Jason Day, Henrik Stenson, and Matthew Fitzpatrick.

I made a par putt at the 18th on day 2 to tie for the lead at -5 with Stenson, and since there's no playoffs, earn the win. My character did the fist pump, the commentators congratulated me on my first win, and I even got the PGA TOUR event winner trophy achievement to pop.

However, the leaderboard at the end all of a sudden shows Sergio Garcia as finishing at -6, despite me never seeing his name on the leaderboard at all. And when I look at the final leaderboard, Stenson and Day are missing, and Fitzpatrick finished at -3.

I have zero trophies in my trophy case, but now my player stats show 1 victory and a T1 finish at the Transatlantic Championship.

Issues like this will really kill immersion for me in no time...

Gameplay issue: If you are putting from fringe or first cut of rough the ball will go 3-4 feet more (faster) than normal putts from the green.

I also don’t like the tempo required for “pitching” because it seems much more sensitive than flop or splash shots....but I can’t call that a bug or glitch. In real life, flop shots are significantly more difficult to execute than a standard pitch.

I noticed career stats are not correct in career mode or in the main menu stats. Is this a known issue?

I always noticed that putting off the fringe goes further since 2019. Not sure about TGC2 though.


Starting to notice some minor graphic glitches in addition to the skating golfer when he appears on screen to putt. On rare occasion I have seen the club partially in the turf when addressing fairway shots.



Pitch shots appear hit and miss very little consistency. Couldn't tell you about flop shots I have not used it as of yet and won't unless short sided with no other option.

I played just the back nine of an 18 hole user-created course and shot an even par 36. Now when I look at my personal stats it shows my best score as '36 (-36)'. It apparently assigned a zero to all of the front nine holes and lists the score liked I played the entire 18 hole course.

On PS4:

- I could swear a couple of times the up/down height arrow has been reversed on a couple of my putts. Maybe it's an optical illusion, but it indicated a downhill putt when it definitely seemed like an uphill of the same amount. And vice-versa.

- In a tour event, when I've moved up from +1 to E, the announcer says something to the effect of "He's dropped back down to even par".

- I had two saved replays that seem to be gone today

Yeah stats seem to be bugged as well as saved replays. I have played over 10 rounds and at least 4 replays and I'm showing no stats and no replays available.
