When Did Green Releases Become Auto-Make?

Was it NBA 2K15? I know that's when the green lights became a thing. I also remember it going on hiatus for a year, maybe 2K16? Let me knowwwwww.

it has to be somewhere in the beginning of current gen, so 2k15 or 2k16 wouldve been my Guess. i think since then it has never changed. or if i think closely they reduced the make percentage so that you sometimes missed but then changed it back to 100% during the Year.

i really miss the old gen days.... Green = Best shot percentage in Regards to Player rating and shot quality.

It started in 2k15. It skipped a year with 2k16, but people cried until it became permanent in 2k17.

That sounds about right. The excellent release goes back to NBA 2K11, but shooting never felt OP. I want to say it start becoming automatic when they introduced being able to see the green release and people start getting badges.

The argument basically became that you have all the badges and high ratings, a green release should be automatic.

There had to be a massive ratings overhaul released as a roster update to correct it.

2K16 scaled it back, but but by the end if the year greens were like 90%. I'm probably low-balling that.
