Re: bring back live events mode and some rewards

I do agree that the current model is utterly boring. The rewards are limited to... some profile pics and backgrounds? Not exactly thrilling. It'd be better if they'd offer new clothing textures or something.

And I know you can always stage the upcoming fights yourselves, but FOR ONCE the gambling game wasn't annoying. I guess they might expect it to get negative press because it "pushes people towards sports gambling". But their lootbox-fiasco did 10000x the damage this could potentially cause.

if theyre gonna have cosmetics and **** the least they could do is offer branded awards. 2k every now and then has some brand deals (i.e Don C shoes, Idiris clothing line), but instead they made it very bare bones and basic.

Just think about how much commitment and time it took EA to run Live Events, Pick n Play, and UT in UFC 3. UFC 4’s challenge system is nothing in comparison resources wise. Now why would they load their plate up again if this thing sold so well already? Pretty sure the guy who had to make move level card packs on a weekly basis don’t want that smoke.

Out of curiosity: how long do you think that would've taken him?

It can't be that long, given there's no actual new assets apart from some patterns they can assemble in in a minute or two.

Really, a minute or two? Despite the assets assumption, pretty sure they have to sit through fight cards strictly to scout the outcomes for accuracy. Then they have to also create some mediocre cards like a level 3 lead body hook for Jacare. Then they make fight night packs and assign pick n play values for all this card stuff. There is a ton of time that goes into it. Time is money. Now how much time is put into this UFC 4 xp/challenge system? A ton less than UFC 3.
