I've asked the mods to close the Cards/Padres thread since this general discussion thread was created.

Glad we're back in the postseason and ready for Wednesday afternoon. Perfect time at 5pm EST which means I'll get home from work and be able to settle in and watch the game.

I'm guessing we'll hand the ball to Flaherty for Game 1. Biggest thing for us will be getting our bats going.

Crazy season, crazy year, but postseason baseball is upon us and I am ready to get this thing started. Hopefully we can conclude our postseason run in Arlington.

Predictions:

Dodgers defeat Brewers (Dodgers just too much for BrewCrew)
Padres defeat Cardinals (pains me to say)
Cubs defeat Marlins (Steve Bartman isn't walking through that door)
Reds defeat Braves (Braves pitching worries me)

I'm not commenting on the Padres until I hear the status of Clevinger and Lamet. We are screwed without both of them. They will both be throwing bullpen sessions today to determine their availability.

This is how I see it too. I think everyone sweeps except the Reds...although I definitely think the Cards are capable of sneaking one out if Flaherty is on his A-game

EDIT: Forgot that Clev & Lamet are both "questionable" if you will. That definitely changes that series

Braves get a top pitcher in game 1 and probably face their normal having to win a short series after losing game 1.
