A Question for Roster makers...

Hey all, looking for recomendations for good websites to get depth chart/roster info on college teams. I've found a few, but they list over 100 players, 8 QB's etc. I'm trying to see what sites would list just the guys who could potentially play (I think a lot of the sites are listing RS freshman and walk-ons that wouldn't go on the roster for a video game). I know that in college things are very fluid and less predictable, just looking for a baseline to get me started on a project.

The reason I ask is because I've been kicking around the idea to create a named roster for DDS College Football 2020. If I did, it would likely just be names and numbers and see if anyone from that community had any interest in attributes. The game has potential but their community is severely lacking and I haven't found anyone interested in a roster project, I'm hoping if I can get some real names into the game maybe others will want to chip in, at least with a few teams.

I use to go to the school's athletic site. They post the Media Guide that gives you a preseason perspective. Once the season starts you will have game notes that will convey the team's depth chart. It is a lot of work, but I used to be able to name the entire league in about two weeks based on EA's roster distributed with the game. There were always players on EA's roster who left the team and I would then edit those players.
