Return of Stampede Wrestling

In April 2008, the wrestling world lost one of its iconic promotions as Stampede Wrestling based in Calgary closed its doors for the final time. After multiple successful runs (the first lasting 36 years) it was a sad day when the company finally had to cease operations for good.

Fast forward 12 years later and on October 1st 2020 the following release was sent out:

"In the middle of such uncertain times, many pro wrestling fans turned to this great industry as a source of entertainment and as an escape from the awful things going on in the world.

With a global monster at the top of the industry, some smaller but well established companies still going strong, with a recent upstart trying to grow, it is time not only to re-establish a once great promotion to its glory, but to take that history and build this promotion for the future, with the goal to make the wrestling universe revolve around a homebase in Canada.

That being said we are proud to announce the return of Stampede Wrestling! This once great company with historic ties to the legendary Hart family, will now be getting an upgrade.

On October 6th we will see the debut of Chaos, a 2 hour primetime show featuring the men who will lead Stampede Wrestling into the future. And then October 7th will see the debut of Heatwave, a 2 hour primetime show featuring the women who will lead Stampede Wrestling into the future. On each night we will also reveal the 2 people responsible for this revival, as we will see who will be in control of the men and women respectively. So wrestling fans get ready for a new era in Pro Wrestling!"

Breaking News!

Its been reported that Taya Valkyrie who was successful in a 3 way match on the Debut edition of Heatwave has suffered a hand injury in training. While the injury is not too serious to require surgury, it will keep her out of action for the remainder of the month!
