Re: NHL 21 Franchise Mode Details Revealed, Plenty of New Additions, But Still No Roster Share
Re: NHL 21 Franchise Mode Details Revealed
No word on roster sharing yet, plz include it.
Seems like a few positive changes have been made. I like the re-addition of the trade deadline and the ability to set yourself as a buyer/seller. That's something that every sports game needs. Multiple player positions is something we've needed for years. Also glad that record tracking is in, although it's as bare bones as it could possibly be. Still, that's a plus.
The ability to edit draft classes/rosters/coaches and share them would push this over the top. It could be an awesome franchise mode and arguably the best one going today, if player ratings weren't so terrible and they weren't missing all the prospects from Russia, College and the US Dev team.
Going to stick with Tony Hawk and maybe grab FIFA if they don't have roster sharing. Some steps in the right direction, but when half the people are missing and nobody's rating makes any sense, what's the point of even playing?

No Roster share or Roster Transfer from NHL 20. No Goalie mask creator. So many important things are missing. They include things which should added by a Patch. One word - disappointing!

I do like some of the new additions to the game, but I don't understand why they can't humor us with some really easy changes. I know they are never going to do roster share; but give us a real player editor where you can change everything, add generic jersey templates, and custom faces. Madden has all those things, and they seem so easy to add

A lot to dislike on the Franchise side, sure, but consider: Deadline Day is new this year, and Fog of War is another recent add-in.
Elsewhere, it looks like EA finally gave BaP some SERIOUSLY OVERDUE love, after letting it essentially rot for half a decade. When motorsports (F1, MotoGP, WRC, and debatably, NASCAR) are eating your career mode's lunch several times over, you're way behind the curve. It seems Franchise Mode thus suffered a bit because BaP had fallen so far behind; Franchise apparently didn't get as many big-ticket upgrades as hoped, but from this BaP player's perspective, I genuinely don't mean to be rude here, but "Welcome to the party, pal!"
Yeah, if they are going to limit us to only playing our teams games one huge addition would be something similar to The Show or Madden with updated scores.
Imagine an out of town score bug during stoppages in play or intermissions and of course like you say being able to go through all box scores in the franchise menu.
With the new stat tracking for game, season, career I hope sometime down the road when a player is close to breaking a record there will be a cut scene similar to how the one for 1 goal away from a hat trick is.
