Man if JV was healthy this would’ve been a fun series with pitching matchups.

Nevertheless I think this will be a highly entertaining series as I think the Rays are still playing for respect and the Astros are playing with something to prove.

With that, I’m taking the Astros in 7

2. Is there any reason the ALCS always starts the day before the NLCS, other than TV reasons?

One thing I do like about this year is the fact that all 7 games are played without any off days in between. This cuts down the probability of the bull**** of having your #1 starting pitching 3 games in a series. It has always bothered me than in October all of the sudden the changes so much from the regular season with starting rotation depth being de-emphasized.
