BAP draft question

Just wondering, for those who have played the 10 hour trial, if your BAP player gets drafted, does he automatically stay at the NHL level in his first year?

It's not uncommon, in the real world, for drafted players to get sent back to juniors for another season of development. Did the developers take this into consideration when they reworked the mode?

Re: BAP draft question

I started yesterday and I must admit i'm having fun, the initial part until the draft is immersive enough, draft was a bit disappointed, thought it would be more exciting than just being drafted by a team and being put straight into the lineup.

What I'm not sure is how fun will it be playing it with a new character as I have seen it already.

On the other hand, coach talks and objetives also add more variation and challenge than just playing games.

Overall I'd say it's a good update vs past years, not at the level of the show or nba2k, but fun enough.

I simmed my preseason games and my low rated player made the team very easily. What I dont like about the way the game works for be a pro is that they give you a goal and you pour on pressure but your ai does nothing and then when simming you give up a goal, the coach says you failed your goal.

Thats my biggest gripe

Re: BAP draft question

ya its cool with the immersion factor and the added stuff to it, but it does make it too easy to be drafted high. for example, my player basically played the entire Memorial cup on the second line(London Knights) and finished with 1 goal and like 7 assists, but i ended up being first overall pick to the Rangers.

im starting to think that if you just play your position you will just become a number 1 pick no matter what kind of stats you put up.

This is why I wish they kept the option to play a full season in the CHL or in Europe. Every person I've seen play BAP on Youtube has been drafted by either the Rangers or Kings.

Hopefully in the first patch they can add a option to randomize the draft order

Re: BAP draft question

if you play badly and give bad media responses and take a lot of penalty minutes, then you won't get drafted at the top position, that is confirmed.

what rather annoys me is the +1000 limit of likeability, after 10 games i have it for brand and management now without any bonus or something.
every game the same challanges and same answers....this is boring after one day of playing.

it is the right direction, but man EA keep up...

checked the roster and players running style, jesus every player has 50/99 so basically random style 1 wthout any uniqueness, so lazy these developers are.
