Re: Nashville SC Career Mode | FIFA 21
January 2020 Recap
The first match in club history came against the Montreal Impact, which resulted in a 1-1 tie. Three days later, we played Querétaro F.C. and that match also resulted in a 1-1 tie.
Then, we really hit our stride. We won our next two games against FC Cincinnati and Real Salt Lake as both games had a final score of 1-0.
We then faced the Vancouver Whitecaps in the Champions Cup final. A late 78th minute goal from Abu Danladi tied the score up a 1-1. That's how regulation would end as penalty kicks would ultimately decide the match. Thanks to an incredible diving save by GK Joe Willis, we managed to win 4-3 on penalty kicks.
This was HUGE for our expansion club. We went undefeated in our first tournament and gained $1,500,000 in the process.
January Transfer Window
There were a couple positions on the team where I didn't feel too great about our starters or depth. So, we had quite a busy month on the transfer front thanks to our $14,000,000+ in transfer funds.
Our busy Transfer Window began on January 21st when we signed 17 year old Belgian wonderkid, CM Aster Vranckx (67 ovr). We agreed to buy him from K.V. Mechelen for $3,000,000. We then agreed to a 5 year contract with him that will pay him $1,000 weekly, a $20,000 signing bonus, with no release clause. Vranckx will replace CDM Anibal Godoy in the starting unit.
We then made a slew of moves as we moved closer to Transfer Deadline Day.
The next player we acquired was 18 year old French CAM, Michael Olise (70 ovr). We agreed to pay Reading $4,400,000 for his services. We then signed him to a 5 year deal that will pay him $1,800 as his weekly wage, $19,500 in a signing bonus, with no release clause, and an additional $52,000 once he reaches 25 appearances for us. Olise is extremely versatile and we actually want to put him at his secondary position of LM. We think he'll make an incredible tandem with our next signing.
Later that day we acquired 18 year old Danish RM, Mohamed Daramy (67 ovr). We agreed to pay FC Kobenhavn $3,400,000. We then signed him to a 5 year deal that will pay him a $3,000 weekly wage, $30,000 signing bonus, with no release clause. Daramy immediately slots in as the starting RM and forms an exciting attacking front along with Michael Olise, Jhonder Cadiz, and Hany Mukhtar.
We acquired one more player as we traded CDM Anibal Godoy (71 ovr) and $2,400,000 to Hamburger SV for 19 year old German RB, Josha Vagnoman (69 ovr). We then signed Vagnoman to a 5 year deal that will pay him a $2,500 weekly wage with a $23,500 signing bonus. No release clause was included in his contract. Vagnoman will start immediately at RB for us with Brayan Beckeles and Eric Miller moving to our bench.
We feel like we now have the right mix of youth and veterans on our squad right now. These four new acquisitions, along with Jhonder Cadiz, Hany Mukhtar, and Alex Muyl give us an exciting young core. Then Walker Zimmerman, Dax McCarty, Dave Romney, and Daniel Lovitz give us the veteran leadership and experience we'll need as we hopefully push for a playoff spot in our first year in the MLS.
Now that our roster moves are completed, below is a look at our current starting 11 along with the list of transfers for our club and the top transfers around the world leading up to Transfer Deadline Day.
