NBA 2K21 for Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 is more than just a gorgeous graphical upgrade and it includes some fixes that've plagued the series for years. On the downside, it introduces some new problems and still includes ugly microtransactions.
Discuss.

I felt like they came down a little to harsh on 2k for the microtransactions. This is just apart of the video game industry now and shouldn't come with any expectations that would devalue your experience. You can either grind or not. Online will always be for the competitive audience.

Weird he referred to it as one of the best sports gaming experiences he’s ever had but then gave it a 7........

The score contradicts the review.

2Ks cost of items you buy is absurdly high compared to the amount of VC you can earn. They are forcing you to buy VC at some point. A garbage plain solid colored T-shirt with a nike logo on it costs 3k VC. You can have an insane game in mycareer and come out with like 900 VC only. The daily prize has like 500 VC on it. Wow great prize!!!! Then there's boosts.. which you have to have if you want to be competitive consistently. 1500 for 3 gatorade boosts lmao. What A JOKE. To top that off, I did the hand eye coordination drill in the workout facility and I earned 25% off gatorade. Nope. Still charges me full price every time. It's like GTA5 online honestly. The cost of **** in GTA is so insane compared to what you can earn doing missions and running your businesses. That's why everyone glitches to get their money.

IGN will never give 2K anything higher due to micro-transactions.

Microtransactions do not belong in a $60 game.

They kill long-term playability for short-term profit by exploiting children and idiots.

This is why 2K11 endures.

Grind in Disgaea and it's still there today.

Grind in 2K and it's gone in two years.
