Remember when EA was supposed to do the Virtual Draft as well?

... and they just didn't do it.

We never did get an excuse for that flop.

Hopefully Next-gen Madden is good enough to be shown off on that scale cause lord knows it's not on this gen.

Let's just hope that whatever bugs are in the game show up during that stream so the world can see it. I'm sure they'll play it ahead of time to get any of that out of the game, but if it's live it would be best for everyone if the bugs showed up in a place where they actually have to be accountable for them.

Whilst I'm sure many current and ex players are familiar with Madden already , im equally sure many higher ups in the NFL are disinterestedly oblivious of the state of this series or how it compares to the representation of other sports .

This could , if properly orchestrated, be a fantastic platform for some high profile players and media to publicly air their grievances over the current state of NFL simulation gaming in a manner that these people might actually pay attention, especially if an argument is made that there is money to be made .

To me the NFL policies have always been about 2 things , money and maintaining the NFL shield and products associated with it as "premium" products .

A high profile NFL ( as opposed to Esports type ) event which showcases both a sub standard product and consequently missed financial opportunity might just inspire a review of policy

does the NFL really want to showcase this game? they do know how bad it is, right? this is a big gamble here for EA. if it flops (with bugs) while being showcased on next-gen, it's all over. best of luck to them. who knows, maybe they will add the pro bowl skills competition to the game as well.*

I hope someone says if they didn't remove the skills challenges years ago, we could virtually see those play out, too.
