Does Madden 21 have to be installed to get the next gen version?

Assuming it's like the other upgrades I have on PSN (keep in mind these are all digital, I dunno how disc works), then all you need is for the copy of the game to be in your library and you'll download the PS5/Series X version from the store as a separate, free download.
