Asking for prayers for my Dad

What's up guys (gals)

I'm asking for prayers for my Dad as he is currently in the hospital in ICU.

Last Sunday he became extremely disoriented and confused that I took him to the VA Hospital to get checked out and unsurprisingly he was admitted Sunday night.

On Monday his blood pressure crashed on dialysis at the hospital and he was moved off of the dialysis machine and placed in ICU.On Tuesday night about 9pm I received a call that he had gone into full cardiac arrest and they were attempting to revive him. Thankfully, the medical team was able to bring him back.

On Wednesday it was discovered that my Dad has suffered 7 small strokes recently (believe since Sunday) and was moved from the VA Hospital (don't have stroke team/unit) to University of Louisville hospital where he is currently.

Yesterday was a good day as he awoke from his "sleep" and was alert. Today he suffered another mild heart attack while they attempted dialysis again. The thought process now is that his heart may be too weak nowadays to withstand dialysis from the machine.

He is currently listed as critical but stable and is alert despite the setback today.

If you believe in the power of prayer, I am asking for them on behalf of my Dad and family. He's fighting hard, but the doctor told us today that my Dad is in a "hell of a fight where he is a significant underdog".

He's beaten the odds before and I know he can do it again, especially with the power of prayers.

Thank you in advance and God Bless.

Re: Asking for prayers for my Dad

Oh no cb, I always hope he's coming out of something strong here and my heart sinks when I read things like this over and again!

As you said though, he has beaten the odds before, and I'm praying that he pulls through here! Happy thoughts during what should be happy times!
