Nba2k21 xbox series s washed out?

Anyone running an s with a Sony 930e? I feel like my hdr isn't working or something. The colors aren't vibrant at all, but on anything else, they look fantastic (madden next gen, forza etc.) Anyone have this issue

I own a Series S too. The image here was horrible in-game on a Samsung 4K TV. The game is originally 1080P on the S Series, but for some reason (I imagine it's a 2K error) the Xbox Series S was upscaling to 4K and the image was horrible, blurry ...

I decided by doing the following: Whenever I play NBA 2K21, I go to the Series S image options and uncheck the "allow 4K" option, so Xbox understands that the game needs to run at 1080P, even though my TV is 4K, image apears AMAZING after that! Very sharp ...

PS: When playing in 1080P, the Xbox (any version) does not do HDR (HDR only works in 4K, without any sense, I know) so know that you will lose HDR colors doing this way ....

But honestly? It hasn't made much of a difference here.

I have on PS5 but just so you know its washed out for everyone. Yellows and reds look terrible on any hdr display.

I have the Series X and had the same issue on my Hisense H8G.

Instead of turning off HDR, I just messed with a lot of the settings.

I turned up the color temperature setting from low to medium or medium high.

A lot of the settings that big tv buffs tell you to turn down, I found myself turning up. I think I had to turn contrast really high too.

Point being: You would be radically surprised how much your tv settings would affect that.

For others: Remember that your 4k tv, if it is below $600, it is virtually guaranteed to have very low brightness in HDR mode, and most $600 or less 4k tvs will have awful hdr mode. Just how it is with cheaper tvs.

What i found was i messed with my TV settings, and on the high end sonys like mine, apparently the motion flow crapwas the culprit, it turned that off and bam! Great lighting, ill snap a couple contrasting images when I get out of work

I’m on a LG CX with PS5 and the yellow is very pale. Red isn’t as bad but still a little bit too light. I haven’t messed with trying to fix it because I’ve done that in the past and then become obsessed with correct colors. If someone knows an easy fix though for CX dudes post it please

Go to YouTube and look up Hdtvtest page. He has a video on the best settings for ps5 and series x on the LG cx.
