Playoffs

Just wondering if anyone felt the wrath of some scripting in the postseason?

Here’s what happened to me. 2-2 in the NLDS Atlanta (me) vs LA Dodgers.

Up 3-1 in the bottom of the 9th, get a pop up and strikeout for the first 2 outs, then get the 3rd hitter to 2 strikes. Weak grounder to 2nd that dribbles past the 2nd baseman.

Double that the RF misses inexplicably near the wall then stumbles. 3-2, man on 2nd. Weak pop up in between 3rd and LF, 3-3. Next batter K, then I get out of the inning.

I come to bat, load the bases with 1 out. Double play to end the inning.

Next inning two guys get on, then 3 run homer, game over, series over, season over.

OUCH.

there are a several ways you can play through to see the game isn't scripted:
1) play a few games on a level difficulty below what you normally play
2) play a few games on a level difficulty above what you normally play
3) when you have a game occur that does feel scripted, replay that game and if you frequently have the same or near same results, frankly I'd be stunned

Re: Playoffs

I've been playing this game since 08' and have lost many times in heartbreaking fashion in the playoffs... and also won just as many. But never have I felt like the game was scripted in anyway.

Re: Playoffs

I have never felt as though it is scripted, however, I did have the biggest letdown of my sports video-gaming career on MLB 16.

I was in the NLDS against the Dodgers (as the Cubs) and the series was tied at two games apiece. Game 5 was in Los Angeles and I absolutely destroyed the Dodgers. I scored 10 runs in the first inning if I remember correctly and knocked Kershaw out of the game. The final score ended up being 15-2 I think. Now, I had games 6 and 7 at Wrigley with a 3-2 lead coming off of a mammoth shalacking.

Lost game 6....

Lost game 7....

I was depressed and my wife just didn't understand. Haha.
