The Owl's Nest - A Temple Owls Rebuild [NCAA14]

It's been a while since I've done one of these - but I've been having a blast playing on my own and decided I want to log everything as I rebuild the Temple Owls.

BACKGROUND INFO

What started with the 2020 Temple Owls roster, I got an idea from a friend to rebuild the program from scratch. I moved all players to punter after year 1, and cut every player, filling the team with walk ons. After a second year of simming and getting the original coach fired, I took over in year 2015 for a team of duds.

I have since played one full season and am preparing for the 2016 season which I will begin to post on here.

Difficulty: Heisman
Quarters: 9 minutes
Recruiting: No real house rules at the moment. It's a complete rebuild from walk ons, so I'm trying to fill my team as quickly as possible. The only main rule is I can only recruit a player with top 10 interest.

2015 Stats: Google Drive Link
Year in Review: We stunk, plain and simple. We were outscored 479 to 158. We almost had an upset win over Army, recovering an onside kick but then throwing a pick to lose 27-24 in week 11. We went with Mississippi State's spread, often settling to run the ball and burn through clock as we were getting pounded often and early.

2015 Recruiting Class

The Temple Owls secured the 60th best class in the nation, bringing in 21 High School players, including thirteen 3 stars, seven 2 stars, and a one star Kicker.

Athlete Jermaine Edwards is the most intriguing player in the class. He has the ability to play both sides of the ball, with 82 speed | 89 accel | 80 btk | 91 truck | 67 cth | 81 tak | 80 pow | 71 mcv

Most of these players will find themselves playing as freshman. WR Brandon Stallings is a 6'5 kid with 89 speed and 69 catch, and will look to make an impact early.

The offensive line is led by Jared Carrington, who slates to start at RG with 80 accel | 75 strength | 76 pbk | 77 rbk.

DE Marcus Smith will set the edge in our 3-4, with his 71 spd | 77 str | 74 accel combo.

MLB Josh Higgins is our new starter and fastest linebacker on the team with 81 speed | 78 accel | 70 tackle.

Lastly, CB Luke Townsend joins 2014 transfer Evan Love to form our CB duo. Townsend is 88 speed | 92 accel | 80 man | 78 zone.
