Turning a 60 Ovl to a SS X Factor Possible

Is it possible to turn a low rated player into a 90 something superstar x-factor guy?

Or is it pretty much impossible to do?

I'd imagine it's possible, but off the top of my head it would depend on:
  • Age of player. They begin to decline at age 29
  • Focused training on the player
  • Position specific training
  • Development trait
  • Coach training boost upgrade
  • Coach increased player weekly goal XP upgrade
  • Player performance in game (should unlock dev trait scenarios)
  • Player season performance (XP increases for awards)
  • Team season performance (More XP for wins)

Exactly. Say for example they are a QB, you user them. If you can get breakout scenarios and get them to superstar xfactor by year 2 and they are 21, you can be by 30.

It is possible but generally a waste for somebody that low. Who are you not giving all that training to over the years to develop this player is what you have to ask yourself.

Re: Turning a 60 Ovl to a SS X Factor Possible

Starting at 60 normal overall to get it 90 is a tall ask.

Assuming you are simming long term to see if possible I think the most you would get to is 80 before regression hits.

Some factors to consider:

If a player is 21 years old to start.
Would have to win OROY or DROY.
Would have to focus train and train that position weekly for multiple years.
He would have to start and stay injury free to maximize training and playing time.
A team reaching the playoffs where there is help around this player would be ideal plus it will give extra training weeks in the playoffs.

If he started out at 60 overall but was superstar development I think it would be more plausible. Maybe even fun to find out but usually at that overall a player will lose a dev trait per year and would be normal in 2 years because they likely aren't performing great at that overall

Players progress the most their first couple of years in the league and most through the age of 24-25. Assuming with focus training and weekly drills plus awards, you would probably have a 70 overall in 2 years and maybe 74-75 by the end of their rookie contract. This is assuming they stay at normal development.

Overall you could turn a 60 overall into a decent player and maybe even get a steal on a second long term contract but it's pretty much not possible without a bunch of luck and then some to get a SsXF.

If you are playing then may be a tiny bit easier but it is going to be very stats based.

Fun topic though.

Re: Turning a 60 Ovl to a SS X Factor Possible

a qb? Absolutely, it's almost comically easy to get to a 99 overall as a qb.
rb? possible but hard to do as it would heavily depend on your OL being good, though you could go the easy route and just use him as a pass catcher instead of running.
WR/TE would depend on your qb, but if he's 70-80 overall then it wouldn't be difficult at all.

any other position and it's not happening.

I took 61 PJ Walker and made him a 80 overall with star factor by the end of season 2.
