It's January 1st, you know what that means.



As we begin the Road to Wrestlemania, which superstars will declare themselves for the Royal Rumble and a chance to main event Wrestlemania Thunderdome Edition!

To begin the new year, Smackdown will see new IC Champion Big E take on King Corbin in a non title match, Sasha Banks & Bianca Belair will team up to take on Bayley & Carmella. Roman Reigns says he has a special request for WWE Management... what could it be? On the RAW side of things this Monday, it's LEGENDS NIGHT! What twists and turns will we see on the road to Wrestlemania?

Note: WWE has removed all mention of Seth Rollins' return as it seemed to be a mistake on the part of FOX. So I guess our Friday Night Messiah is going to embrace being a Dad for a little bit longer.

Big E with a nice amount of tributes for Brodie. Gator roll and "yeah yeah yeah" afterwards, then his backstage promo with shoutouts to Rochester, Amanda, Nolan and the Leafs.

Billie Kay challenges Riott Squad to a match, has to find a partner of her choosing, but ends up finding 2 partners to team up instead of her, but then switches sides and supports the Riott Squad after they win. Billie Kay doesn't need to compete in a single match and she'll be one of most entertaining parts of womens division. I'd be fine with a Natalya/Tamina teamup. Tag division does need more teams.

Speaking of teams, a Baymella reunion on SD!

Smackdown this week was good. Lots of advancement into the storylines and feuds. Roman continues to be a highlight as his opening promo was solid. Kevin Owens is playing his part well too as I have totally bought him as a face to cheer for. The Riot Squad continue to rack up wins as they look to become the next contenders for the tag team titles. I thought that Sasha/Belair vs Bayley/Carmella match was pretty good too. Belair is really shining lately and I hope to see her do big things in 2021. Also happy to see Sonya Deville back too. She rocks the suit so well. Can't wait for her promo in the future. The Daniel Bryan/Otis vs Cesaro/Nakamura match was good too. Got nothing bad to say about it. The main event match was fine too and lol at seeing them fight within the Thunderdome crowd. The WWE has done a really good job at wanting me to see Owens get the better of the Tribal Chief and Jey Uso.

A single Sonya backstage walk for 15 seconds has her built up as a bigger deal than Mandy has been built up since their feud ended lol.

And WWE has announced Street Profits vs Ziggler/Roode for the SD tag titles.

This will be the 8th meeting on TV involving these guys since October, and the ONLY team that has challenged for the SD tag titles since the street Profits got it during the draft. Every SD tag title match since June has involved either Roode/Ziggler or Cesaro/Nakamura. Despite all that, WWE doesn't simply have 1 set of tag titles and do it like the womens tag titles where the champs can appear on both shows.

Teddy Long returns for Legends Night and immediately books Miz and Morrison in a match against.....THE UNDERTAKER!

Poor Teddy, he already forgot Undertaker is retired for good hahaha.
